BMW has manufactured the BMW 5 Series since 1972. It is a mid-size luxury car / executive car. The first digit (5 in this case) represents the model, and the following two digits (usually) represent the size of the engine in decilitres, which is the main distinguishing difference.

The BMW 3 Series is a entry-level luxury car / compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975.

The E90 is the new body style available from MY2006 to present, and is available as the sport sedan (E90), sport wagon (E91), sport coupe (E92), and sport coupe convertible (E93). The E90 series is completely re-engineered from the E46, including changes to motor choices, transmission, the passenger compartment comfort, suspension technology, as well as a host of High-Tech features and options. An all-new twin-turbo V8 unit will debut in a vehicle that combines the dynamic appeal of a coupe with the versatility offered only by an SAV. This is a production crossover only BMW could concoct: the mould-breaking X6 Sports Activity Coupe.

The X6 Sports Activity Coupe introduces two twin-turbo units to its initial line-up. The X6 sees the debut of a 4.4-litre V8 engine producing 400 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque and the inclusion of a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder with 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft of torque for introductory models dubbed xDrive50i and xDrive35i respectively. But further technology features beyond the hood.
